After reviewing the draft study which is still awaiting final publication, industry scientists noted the following responses:

1. It would be premature to draw any scientific conclusions about this study’s alleged “findings” unless and until the study is peer reviewed and published in a credible scientific journal.  If/until that occurs, only then will the study be open for scientific debate.  Scientific conclusions should be validated, verified and accepted by a consensus of the scientific community before they are considered newsworthy.
   
   2 Although at this point we cannot engage in an actual scientific debate over the findings because the information at hand it sketchy, incomplete, and unpublished, it should be noted that there is widespread, international consensus, backed up by a significant body of peer-reviewed literature, in the scientific community to vouch for the safety of biotech crops, including soybeans – the world's leading biotech crop…
